Too thin to do the job!

I had bought some of these mats before at Staples a few years ago and they were great. These are a very cheap excuse for a chair mat. The plastic is so thin that the chair will not roll on it. I am not happy at all with these. They probably would work on a hard surface but not on even thin carpeting.

DOES NOT HAVE TO QUALITY I EXPECTED

THIS MAT IS USED AT OUR HOME COMPUTER DESK. NEW CARPET WAS INSTALLED IN NOVEMBER SO WE NEEDED A MAT TO PROTECT THE CARPET. I GUESS IN A SENSE IT PROTECTS THE CARPET BUT THERE ARE IN DENTATIONS FROM THE CHAIR IN THE MAT AND IT MAKES IT HARD FOR THE CHAIR TO ROLL ON THE MAT.
