I bought this quick to set up my home office with the work at home mandates. It's so thin that there are now dents from my chair wheels so my chair doesn't move easily. It would be ok for hardwood but not any carpet. I think it will eventually crack where my wheels sit most of the time and need replaced with a heavier one.

Good basic rug protection

This mat keeps the rug clean and prevents chair from digging into your carpet. The clear color blends right in and is unobtrusive. Lasts for years I gave my old one to my son still in really good shape.
