Good basic mat

This is a good basic mat. After a week of use however I have noticed "dents" in the plastic where the chair most frequently stands. But it looks good and provides a smooth even rolling surface which is its primary function.

Flat Pile Carpet Chair Mat is a hit!

The pile carpet mat is perfect for home office use. It is made of durable plastic and will protect your carpet for many years from premature wear. Staples has a good selection of several grades of plastic mats and helpful sales representative to assist in the selection of the correct pad for your application. The pad is excellent for both legged chairs and wheeled chairs. I have used these pads with both types of chairs and found them to be equally responsive to the demands placed on them.

We needed to add a new desk and chair for the office. This mat works very well for our new chair - not too flexible and not too stiff. Static buildup is not excessive.
