This mat works great for me. Low pile carpet with a regular desk acomputer desk and a table surrounding me in a semi-circle. :)

Plastic not strong enough. Chair wheels create wells or indentations in mat and make wheeling across the mat very difficult. Had to replace after 1 week of use!

I wanted the least expensive chair mat none seem to last very long. I have had a staples brand mat before and it seems to last about a year which seems to be about the average before they start to crack. I am at my desk for about 9 hours a day in low pile berber carpeting. It fits nicely with my desk and doesn't seem to stick way out. The price was very reasonable considering they can run about $100 and still last only a year. All in all good price and good quality so we shall keep track of the life span of this one. Yes I'd recommend.

Cleats hold the mat in place on the rug my desk chair slides well on it. It's thick not flimsy and a nice quality. I'm very pleased.
