The only problem with the chair mat is that my chair will leave indentations because the carpet is too thick; my computer is in the living room; our house is completely carpeted a heavier dense loop carpet. I couldn't find a mat that would cover that type.

I am glad to have found the size I sought in a chair mat but the grips on its underside do not hold its position as securely as the mat I had before.

Have not had the mats long enough to know whether they discolor or how it wears. Serves my purpose very well - protect carpet.
