I was VERY disappointed in this chair mat. The carpet at my computer desk is only “contractor quality” not luxury deep pile carpet. My desk chair leaves deep impressions in the mat which make it difficult to roll to adjust the seating position. Not only is it smaller than most chair mats it seems considerably thinner.

It tends to not lay flat on the floor though that is probably because it is on a thick carpet.

I bought two of these chairmats in the early morning and left them in my car while I went to work. When I came out in the afternoon my car was filled with the noxious odor of melted plastic. The mats were soft and maleable and almost rubbery. A day or so inside and they're back to normal. So the message here is not to leave these mats in a car when the outside temperature is 109-degrees!
