Inside ink transfers onto papers

These do do the job. I like the size of these envelopes as well as the self-sealing feature and security tinting on the inside. However the security tinting is also a con of this envelope. The blue ink from it transfers to whatever note check or letter is on the inside. The reason I know this is that a number of letters we mass-mailed in this envelope were returned to us and they were all tinted blue from the ink transfer. A better quality ink should be used for the security tinting It does not come off as very professional if a client receives a professional letter that appears dirty.

These are relatively easy to print and fit the checks used by our business. However quite often there will be a large quantity of envelopes in the box that have glued inside bottom corners; that you have to pry them open in order to make the checks fit inside. Annoying but other than that they do the job.

I use these envelopes on a weekly basis for payroll and other mailings. They are made of a high quality paper and work perfect for our checks we mail. I have compared prices from other competitors and Staples always seems to have the best price. With the price match you can't beat buying them form Staples. I have shopped years with Staples and will continue to do so. Their staff seem to know all the products and will direct you to something comparable if they do not have. On line orders are great. Always next day deliveries which can't be beat.

slight variance in window height

We needed a security envelope with one window on the left. This was the only item available through Staples our preferred office supplies store. We have noticed that the window height from the bottom of the envelope will vary by a slight amount causing issues when a check is placed inside. The dollar amount can be seen and we have to tape the check just a hair higher so the amount does not show. We have gotten full boxes of envelopes where we have had to do this but then other boxes have been fine and the checks fit perfectly. Overall we like this product since it meets our needs.

Too much glue.

Glue often goes past side seams and makes it difficult to get checks in the envelope. It is unreliable when you have to pre open the envelopes before you can insert the checks.
