The mat still moves regardless of the spikes on the bottom of the mat. But either way it was a good size for the room and the chair easily glides over the Mat
clearly i may not have understood which mat i need - i'm not smart on "carpet" - from the very start this mat would NOT stay put so i must assume it's designed for a very different style of flooring/carpet. regardless in less than 6 months it started fragmenting/cracking/disintegrating/breaking apart - possibly ... again ... as a result of using it in a way (ie on a surface for which) it was NOT designed? ...but come ON? really? i'll spend more next time because i don't want to have to spend $35 every 6 months (on a floor mat) =/
I am very happy with this mat. It's a good size and thickness. However it was delivered without any packaging - not even a band tying it up. It was left propped against the front door in the rain. Had to struggle to get the door open struggle to get it inside wait for it to dry then wipe it down (wasn't too dirty).
I think the material is too soft. The chair wheels are leaving indentations when I sit in the chair. The last mat I got at Staples was tougher/stronger.
