Using it here in the office saves the rug but the chair sit in the groves.

My "office" chair would bog down on the carpet. I do a great deal of my day getting up & down and because the chair was hard to move it made it agravating. NOW with the MAT my chair slides like a hockey-puck on ice.

These things are usually pretty crummy and they break easily. I think they are 'guaranteed for life' but that doesn't do much good . . .

Mats are clear enough that you can see the grain of the floor. The chair rolls easily. They were quite dirty [...] but they are very easy to clean. We had read some bad reviews and were a little nervous about buying these. We bought 2 mats (one for my desk and 1 for my husband's) and we love them! Great Product!

Smaller and thinner than I expected

I bought this mat to replace one about 10 years old that had cracked and in which holes had formed. The new mat is much thinner than the old one so thin in fact that I put the cardboard that it came in between the old mat and the new one. I seriously doubt it will last 6 months. Next time I'll spend the money and get one that's more substantial and sturdy.

I was looking for a mat for my hardwood floor and the prices vary so much. I chose this one and it works just fine. I don't really see a need to spend twice the money for something so simple in design.
