Mat is of sturdy construction very clean rectangular design. Slides a bit on repeated movement could use tacky backing on one side to help resist sliding effects on hardwood floors.

I did not use this mat under a chair. Rather I used it to support a large parrot bird cage and protect the carpeting under it. It worked out perfectly.

chair wheels flex the mat on the carpet and it cannot take flexing - breaks into pieces and has to be replace every 10-12 months
