Carpet Chair Mats 36" x 48"

This product is adequate for our needs. However I was disappointed in the shipping method. These chair mats were shipped "loose" not in a corrugated box or tube. We had to wet-wipe them on both sides to get the dirt off.

The smaller is better!

I used one with nubs under it that was thicker and larger the first time. It did a fine job of flattening my rug and it was hard to move the placement. This time I went for the smaller size which tucks under the front of my desk & doesn't have nubs under it. It still doesn't move and doesn't flatten my rug. After a while it will crack just like the thicker one but it is alot cheaper so I can live with that!

Chair Mats

We bought two and both did well. We used one on tile floor and the other on painted concrete. Both held properly and were of an adequate size. (could have been 12 inches larger in length and width for our application) but are ok. The sales person was very helpful in explaining and locating product and helped with loading in my vehicle!!

Thicker and better quality mat

I have been using this mat for 3 or 4 weeks now and it is much thicker than the one I replaced. Seems I have been replacing these mats which are under an office desk chair with wheels each year or sooner. They just start breaking where the wheels set because of the thick carpet padding in my office. The carpet is commercial type but the carpet company put thick pad under it to make it wear longer (for the carpet warranty). I have noticed that the wheels do not sink way down on this mat and it is easier to roll the chair around. I think this one will not break like the other mats did.

We like the quality of the chair mat and the way it protects the underlying carpet. The thickness is just right and gives it just the right protection. It is easy to wipe when necessary and it holds in place without shifting.

So Far So Good

This is now the 3rd mat I purchased. I finally bought the one for the thickest carpet because the medium one failed despite being on berber of less than 3/8 depth. Time will tell if this works. The new mat is only .016 inches thicker than the last one but now that they have a lifetime guarantee so at least I will not need to spend anymore for another. I have to say that Staples did not make this "EASY". They do not carry the heavy mat in the store (despite there being a place for it on the display) and then made me return for pick-up since they only ship by courier (instead of UPS FedEx or USPS) and do not want to do what is necessary to get into our 14 000 resident gated retirement community. For this reason I can no longer do any on-line ordering with them. So much for the easy button!!
