Well not lot to say about a chair mat but it does what it is intended to do it sticks on carpet flat not curling up on edges looks good oh and seems to support my son who weighs 280 or so pounds ok-chair wheels never went though it (laugh). Look get a few years out of it before wears out. Get it if your old mat is worn out.
The mat had to be folded to fit in my car and so far it has not completely leveled out to the floor. I am hopeful that it will in a few more days and the two handles one either side kind of look bad. I understand it has a one year warranty so will wait a little while longer before deciding if I will exchange for a different one.
This product isn't rigid like other chair mats. Instead it's flexible kind of like a thick vinyl. What that means is that it comes sort of rolled up and will probably never truly sit flat on the floor. After a week in my office it's still got noticeable bumps I have to roll around. Also it's not very clear like my other mat. It's got a hint of milky whiteness to it. Since I've got two mats side by side this one really stands out. And since I was buying this specifically to replace a mat that had discolored it's a real drag to have this thing be discolored from the start. Now I have to buy a new mat to replace my new mat. What a waste of money!
STAPLES FLAT PILE CARPET CHAIR MATS ARE VERY DURABLE AND STAND UP TO CONSTANT CHAIR MOVEMENTS ON THEM ALL DAY EVERY DAY. THE CLEAR TOUGH VINYL MATERIAL IS HARDLY NOTICEABLE AS IT ALLOWS THE COLOR OF THE CARPET TO SHINE THROUGH. THE EDGES ARE SMOOTH AND ROUNDED WHICH MAKES IT EASY TO ROLL AN OFFICE CHAIR PAST THE EDGE OF THE MAT IN CASE YOU NEED TO REACH SOMETHING JUST PAST THE MAT AREA. THE PRONGS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE MAT ARE POINTED JUST ENOUGH TO GRIP THE CARPET WITHOUT DAMAGING IT AND THEY REALLY HOLD THE MAT IN PLACE SO IT DOESN'T SLIDE AROUND. ALL IN ALL- A GREAT PRODUCT. WE HAVE BOUGHT MANY OF THESE MATS OVER THE 25 YEARS WE'VE BEEN IN BUSINESS!
This item is cheaply made and comes folded. The folded crease is the first thing to fail and it brakes causing pieces to come out of the mat making it a trip hazard.
