I find this mat unusually poor for what it was advertised as. I needed a mat that would work to supprt an office chair on standard carpeting with underlay. it is too thin to work effectively and makes large depressions under the wheels even when no one is sitting in the chair. I would not recommend this particular item I use Staples for most of my office supplies and plan to continue using them but i would recommend finding a new supplier for chair mats. I intend to return this item or throw it away if it cannot be returned.

Carpet protector / chair mat

This is a three foot by four foot chair mat (aka - carpet protector). It goes between the chair and the carpet. It protects the carpet from the marks the chair could make if the chair mat was not there and it allows the chair to roll easily across the carpet (my chair has wheels under the legs). The chair mat just kind of lays there and doesn't make any noise. Nonetheless it does do its job well. It would be nice if our elected officials could emulate the chair mat and do their job well without making much noise.

My old chairmat from Staples had longer pointed grips which provided better security. This new mat "creeps".

WE KEPT HAVING TROUBLE KEEPING OUR MATS FROM CRACKING. I HAVE HAD THIS ONE LONGER THAN ANY OTHER AND IT STILL LETS ME ROLL SMOOTHLY AND HAS SHOWN NO SIGNS OF CRACKING. GREAT MAT!

Came in terrible condition

The mat was delivered with shiiping label glued on and was unable to remove completely. The mat was scratched and damaged from just being thrown on the shipping truck. The salesperson told us that if we reordred the next one would come in in the same condition. Seems like Staples does not protect or package large items like this mat they ship. Would not recommend anyone ordering a mat online from Staples.
