Tape keeps sticking to the metal tension bar.

Great tape, terrible dispenser. The tape is continually sticking to the metal tension bar making it extremely difficult to pull the tape out. I don’t recall having this problem with other dispensers. It seems that either the tape is too strong for this dispenser, or the tension on the metal bar is too tight. Whatever the case, the problem is so bad that I have a hard time believing the positive reviews are unbiased.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

can't load it

This contraption does NOT make sense. I love the other Scotch dispensers, but the DP300-RD is stupidly designed. It is not at all intuitive. If you load it like the other easy-to-use Scotch dispensers, the tape keeps "contracting" back to the roll and sticking to itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Dispenser

I use a dispenser all the time. Working from home, I had to purchase a new one and this one doesn't load properly. Money wasted.

Don’t waste your money

This tape gun is so “safe” that it doesn’t even work correctly. The teeth that are supposed to tear the tape are so far back they don’t work no matter how hard you press the safety lever. The tape constantly sticks to the metal plate. You waste a lot of extra tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could not live without this product, I work in an office, and we have cases files that have special cover sheets, due to privacy law, Those cover sheets get so tattered and worn out, I use the tape in order to prolong the life of our cover sheets (cover folder), Thank you for such a wonderful strong produce

Having been in shipping/receiving dept. for a number of years,I've used many other brands & they fall short in comparisson.The soft-touch handle is an added bonus as it gives comfort,control & added manuverability.While a useful tool in a professional capacity,it can be utilized in the home as well;moving,storing,etc. If you are looking for a product that will cut your packing workload dramatically,then this Scoth(R) item is the one for you.
