The envelopes did the job that I bought them for -- which was to use hold registration material for a fund-raising event. The envelopes were strong and held up to the stuff we put in them and the registration process itself.

Don't buy this for mailing

Use the same size envelopes without the clasp. The Post Office employees finally told me that it cost $0.21 more per envelope to mail because of the clasp. The other ones work just as well and don't cost an extra $52.50 per box to mail them.

I like the 250 count box but the imprint from the metal clasp shows an imprint on all the envelopes I plan to return them to staples to hopefully get a box that do not look like the envelopes were tampered with.

Perfect size for mailing documents. Plain buff coloring is nice and simple. Staples brand is a better value than the name brands. Quality is about the same we can't tell the difference. 250 count is a better value in the long run but the 100 count is easier to store. You'll just have to figure out what's best for your own business.
