Staples Extra heavyweight clasp manila envelopes- Horrible product

this extra heavyweight manilla envelopes are super cheap and thin. not heavyweight at all. the clasp on the back has punctured the front of ALL the envelopes and the color is a pale yellow not the manilla color expected. makes me very wary of purchasing from Staples. it is too much bother to return them so I will donate them.

out of the 100 I bought about 80 of them actually had the metal closure so I then had to tape the top to ensure that it stayed sealed. I would not buy this product again!

I originally ordered these envelopes because the kraft brown ones don't show ink as well as the lighter ones but was concerned about the paper thickness. My business requires me to ship books and it's important that the envelopes don't burst during shipment. Compared to some other similar large envelopes that I had from a previous purchase at another store these are far superior. The paper is thicker the color is lighter and the metal clasp is much sturdier. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and will reorder when needed.
