Not sure it's worth a $5 savings....

I go through a lot of manila envelopes so cost matters when buying them for the office. I chose these over the peel-off sticky flap envelopes because they were about $5 less on a box of 100. To be honest it's a little bit more trouble to use these. If I use the clasp it take more time. If I don't use the clasp then the gummed sticky part doesn't really stick because the clasp is in the way. This type of envelope is less convenient than the kind that you just peel off and stick closed but they are less expensive. I'm still deciding if it's worth it or not.
This is the third year that I've used these envelopes to store all my receipts for taxes. The clasp is very sturdy and has stay closed of past 36 months. The paper is of high quality and you can over stuff the and still have the clasp hold. I have written on the front of the envelopes using a variety of pens ink felt and not had the ink bled through to the documents or had it fade over time. Another great feature is that these envelopes store in file drawers or storage bins. No need to purchase extra storage containers.
Super easy way to mail books. I am an author and sending out copies of my book is cheap and easy with these envelopes. When considering the Post Office discount on "media" mail rates it is an inexpensive way to distribute things. Sending up to 3 books in each envelope is just a matter of inserting the material and seal the envelope by the pre-glued flap and clasp. Add scotch tape for extra protection if you feel that is necessary. Buying them in packages of 100 makes it less than 10 cents per envelope and that is more than offset by the savings of mailing them at the media rate through the US Postal Service..
