9" x 12" Brown Kraft Clasp Envelopes

I was looking for 9 1/2 x 12 1/2 size brown envelopes with no clasp but could not find what I was looking for in the store so I settled for these. The Postal Service does not like clasp envelopes as they say they are harder to sort electronically so the clasp always has to be taped over so it really is not needed but envelopes without clasp are hard to find in stores and usually cost more.

The first Staples store was completely out of this popular size. They had some of the real thin environmental envelopes. Had to travel to another store in another town to get what I needed. I could see them being out for an odd size but not a standard size. 5 thumbs down.

It held more than expected ...although the seal wasn't that secure. This might be b/c it was not meant to hold so much. It's a good envelope for less than 25 pages.
