I wish that manufacturers of 9x12 envelopes would GET RID OF THE CLASP. The post office counter clerks always lecture that the clasp gets hung up in their automated sorting device. I can moisten and tape the envelopes myself.

Envelopes = hassle to closecheap/sturdy

These envelopes are so much less expensive than the ones with the peel-off adhesive close so go this route if you want to save money. If you have a stack of briefs to serve (or envelopes to send) it is a hassle using the lick-it (or sponge-it) adhesive and closing the clasp; plus I always tape over the closed clasp to ensure no-one or nothing gets scratched. But they are sturdy and work fine.
