I buy these 9" x 12" brown kraft clasp envelopes 110 per Box to ship items I sell in my internet eBay store. They fit a variety of different products and I can use them for a shipping most anything I sell such as clothing jewelry toys fashion accessories and much more. They are sturdy and rugged enough to survive the tossing shipping bad weather during the delivery of my items to their destinations across the entire United State including Hawaii and Alaska. I even use them to ship items Internationally!

We are an educational non-profit serving about 45 schools a year. We use boxes and boxes of 9 x 13 brown envelopes! The quality of these is good and we especially like the clasp closing so students' handouts do not fall out and get lost in their desks and still they can use them every week we are in session. We have also found the product to be a good value. We have 'shopped around" somewhat and our experience shows that the price at Staples is as good if not better than other places we have tried. And they are always in stock at the store so ordering ahead is not necessary.

Average value mediocre quality [...]

These are a good deal for the price but are not the best quality. I use them for mass mailings. I also think they would be good for 'flat' mailings ( as opposed to thick items such as books). I do not recommend them for books of any real value or if the items are thick at all as they tear easily. I frequently find myself reinforcing them with mailing tape which increases the per mailing cost slightly.
