I buy these because we use a lot of that size. The price is right but the adhesive never seems to be enough and even though there's a clasp I still need to tape the flap so it won't open on-route.

Good thing for the clasp as the glue on this does not work well. sticks in waves regardless of how much i moisten (a lot or a little)

The envelopes were purchased for mailing information packets for which they work fantastic - the adhesive is not used so I cannot speak to the effectiveness of it. They are sturdy and well worth the investment. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable product that performs the basic function for which it was constructed. Office use or personal should not make a significant difference in the effectiveness. The metal clasp was sturdy and easily reusable. The only reason I did not go five stars is because I do not know whether the adhesive works due to not using that element of the envelope.

Terrible quality thinner than any envelope I have ever seen. Would never purchase again!
