although it is sturdy when up after first use we had trouble telescoping one of the legs back in.This is a recurring problem with this brand of easel. We have several.

Fell apart the first day it was used

I'm surprised to see ANY four or five star reviews for this poorly constructed flipchart easel. Those reviewers must not have ever owned a good quality easel. I own another similar-looking easel and it's far far superior to this Staples private lablel piece of three-legged trash. The leg locking mechanisms are stiff and hard to operate. One failed on the first day and the leg fell right out of the upper tube. Needless to say I returned it for a refund.

I am very impressed with this item. I just ordered another one. I use them for an organization I am with and the second one will be used with a non-profit that I just began. I hope I don't have to order another! The price is awesome.
