staples reinforced fastner folders

The files meet my needs and expectations. They are durable. The fasteners are also very firmly connected to the files and that is very helpful when the file begins to grow. Also the price I paid for the same was very competitive. This is the first time I ordered these files from Staples. I use to order them from a different company. Based on my satisfaction with them I will be continuing to order the files through Staples.

I have used these folders for a long time. Unfortunately the ones I bought last have the fastener on the top and not at the side as I would have preferred.

What did Staples do?

Staples changed their reinforced fastener folders and not in a good way. They are now about half the thickness and feel more like a plain manila folder very disappointing and wish to return them; they are not strong enough to use.

Not Well Designed

Since the expansion is accomplished via folding at the scoring versus an accordion what you find is that the Fastners on one side can make your stack of papers come up short against your fold. Your solution is to hole punch the documents for the right-hand side of the file off center based on where that fold is. Who has time to play around with that?

Flimsy but no other choice

I bought these for a specific need - and had a choice between these and the hard-board ones costing considerably more. Staples needs to find an alternative that is economical but stronger than these - which seem to be thinner than even regular "manila file folders". Something between this quality and the hard-board ones would be ideal. but alas no choice exists at Staples.
