It's very clear. Dimples a little slides a lot if you move around often and has to be re-positioned on a low nap area rug. Will use some double sided carpet tape to secure. It's nice that the AnchorBar cleats don't poke you but don't really keep mat from sliding.
So far this mat is performing well. Our previous mat cracked in several places where chair rollers moved back and forth. This mat seems to be more flexible creating depressions if we sit for a long period of time. It remains to be seen if it will outlast tho old mat.
Unfortunately I didn't fully understand the limitation of this chair mat as well as I should have. Once home I saw on the label "not recommended for deep pile carpets" and "protects carpet up to 1/8 inch". I didn't consider my carpet "deep Pile" but apparently it is and it certainly is deeper than 1/8 inch. Consequently the mat is so soft my chair leaves deep dents in it and I expect it will fail after a short time. I bought this to replace a chair mat previously purchased from Staples and that one was much thicker ( I now realize). That mat was not affected by the chair rollers and did not indent from them. It lasted several years on the same carpet and was of a much tougher material. A lesson learned the hard way.
I was looking for a chair mat that would be good on a medium-size carpet. Although this one is better than a previous one I used it's not as strong as I would like. The chair mat gets little sink holes where the chair is.
Product is nice but a tad bit expensive. Hopefully it will last a few years. Doesn't have that terrible odor that some of these mats have and that is a plus.
