One of STAPLES associates recommended this special flat pile carpet chair mat by asking if I wanted for wooden floor or carpet and he showed me the spikes on the reverse of the mat to hold it in its place. heavy duty chair mat

delivery was very quick. Mat was as described. Hopefully it will last longer than the previous Staples heavy duty mat which was about 5 years. Carpet is 3/8-1/2" thick so wheels (dual flat type) press in to mat eventually cracking the vinyl.

This was rolled up and held closed by tape. When the tape came off I had a VERY difficult time getting the sticky part off of the mat even with a product that should take it off. Also it is not the quality of the mat I replaced. It is thinner.
