I have a medium pile carpet and I purchased this chair mat specifically because the description said "this chair mat stays firmly in place". However this is definitely not the case as I have to re-position it every few hours. Very frustrating!

One of STAPLES associates recommended this special flat pile carpet chair mat by asking if I wanted for wooden floor or carpet and he showed me the spikes on the reverse of the mat to hold it in its place.
