This mat is not thick enough. When sitting in the chair the chair wheels make indentations in the mat that do not return to normal after a period of non use. Buy a thicker chair mat.

Does this mat even serve a functional purpose?

Staples makes much higher quality chair mats than this one so I'm not sure why it's for sale. It's basically barely a step up from placing a plastic bag on the carpet. A chair can't roll on it and makes indents because it's so soft. I returned this and got a much heavier mat which I'm very happy with.

great mat. thick enough for the plush carpet in my home office. did not come rolled up. so its nice and flat. this one was a little thicker than standard mat. worth the extra cost.
