I've had this chair mat for a few days now and am using it on 3/8" Berber carpet which is what it's designed for. With my standard 5 caster office chair the wheels sink down into the plastic creating indentations. This makes the chair hard to roll around in as you have to get out of the wheel holes first. I'm not sure of this will affect the life of the mat. I expected it to be a bit sturdier. BTW I'm a 160 lb guy. Not a heavyweight.

My chair wheels seem to permanently leave dents in the mat. It is a nice looking mat but the wheel dents hopefully don't break through.
