I just needed a 3 foot by foot plastic floor mat to go under my computer chair which is on a carpeted floor. Could not find any mats with these dimensions so I needed one which was firm/thick enough to support my chair with me sitting on it yet thin enough to cut the portion of mat which goes under my computer desk off because that area does not need extra carpet protection ( I don't wear shoes when I am sitting at my computer (TMI?). Works just fine and the price was right.
I guess you would say this mat is o.k. for the price. The main problem with it is that chai wheels dent it easily making it more difficult to move around on it. I'm not overweight at 157 pounds so I think most people will have this problem.
I have low pile carpet and initially purchased the “Medium Pile Mat”. This mat was too soft so I upgraded to the “High Pile Mat” which works fine… If you are thinking of purchasing one of these mats regardless of your assumed carpet pile height I would recommend purchasing the high pile offering. This way you will be sure to get the stiffest mat available from this manufacturer. I cannot attest to how the High Pile Mat will work with High Pile Carpet.
The clear wide adhesive tape to hold the rolled mat together was excessive and extremely difficult to remove from the mat. I used 2 bottles of Goo Gone. Areas on the matt are still sticky.
I really wanted to like this mat. SADLY the vinyl is too thin and too soft. After sitting in my chair the wheels created divots and got stuck. I Could Not Roll or Move without physically getting up and moving my chair.Once in a new position the same thing happened. Did not serve the purpose..
