WHEN THIS CAME FROM UPS IT HAD BEEN MANGLED IN SHIPPING BUT IT WAS NOT PACKAGED AT ALL EITHER. SOMEONE JUST SLAPPED A UPS LABEL ON THE MATT AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY MANGLED WHEN IT ARRIVED. WE HAD TO PUT AT LEAST 5OO LBS ON IT OVER THE WEEKEND TO GET IT TO LAY FLATTER BUT IT WOULD NOT COMPLETELY FLATTEN AND ONE OF OUR EMPLOYEES TRIPPED OVER IT CUTTING THEIR FOOT.
I was looking for a pad that I could use for rolling my chair where my computer is. I found that the thickness was not enough. The wheels leaves an indentation after I sit on the chair. The length and width are perfect but the gauge thickness is less than good. Your catalog and the store display does not have this particular size pad in a thicker version. I have little space available to put a larger one in the area. I don't know if one is made in the smallest size available but it would have been better. My chair leaves big dents in the plastic. It's slightly better than just the carpeting but not by much.
Pleased with the product. However it took me several hours to find the right type of glue remover to take off glue holding the plastic slip that held a receipt. Why glue that onto the mat? I could have gone to the store and bought a mat instead of online and saved a few hours and the cost of the glue remover. Very disappointed.
Before purchasing this chair mat I put small area rugs in front of each computer at my tutoring center. The rugs would get bunched up and dirty quickly. Now every computer station has a Staples Chair mat. Easy to clean stays in place -- a world of difference!
Nice and shiny but we can't get the folds out. Even after several weeks of sitting on it and rolling our chair on it it still has folds in it. I would recommend this with the pretense that the person my not get the folds out.
I bought the matt to put in my carpeted office room...it's just too thin for a 200 LB guy...already cracking after 2 months or so...needed a bigger mat.
