The mat seems like it is a good thickness. However I purchased it for very low profile carpeting not plush carpet. I was hoping to avoid issues with cracking or denting that were mentioned in other reviews for various mats. Hopefully it will hold up very well!

there's a slight groove in the pressures points where chair meet mat but that means its a thick mat!
