I bought a basic clear plastic chair mat for my home office and its working out well. Wish I had invested in one sooner. Would have spare my carpet from unnecessary ware.

THIS IS WAY TOO THIN. YOU CANNOT EVEN MOVE YOUR CHAIR UNLESS YOU GET UP AND MOVE IT. WE ARE CURRENTLY SHOPPING FOR A MUCH BETTER ONE AND THESE WILL END UP EITHER IN A LAND FILL OR A RECYCLE BIN SOMEWHERE THE BAD THING IS WE BOUGHT TWO.

Definitely worth the money for the extra thickness. Chair glides nicely and the size is perfect for moving around without slipping off the edge of the mat.
