I use the mat to protect the carpet from the tires of my electric wheelchair. The chair weighs 640 pounds with me in it. That is an extreme burden for the mat. But it does not serve my professors.

The mat is just the right size for a small corner desk and is protecting the carpet. But it is too soft unlike a larger mat I previously bought from Staples and so it has quickly developed dents where my chair casters are which force the chair to drop into the the same position day after day even if I want to be at a slightly different angle.

I have not purchase one of these mats in years. But the quality is not the same. Too thin. I remember them being much stronger and thicker materials. Disappointing
