My carpet is only 1/4” with an 8lb pad. I only weight 170 and the mat has depressions each day where the chair wheels were. Not very good performance for a mat that supposed to be for a medium pile up to 3/4”. Not sure it’s going to last very long.

This floor mat is better than most because it is stronger - chair doesn’t sink in and make dents and very little slilding on the carpet.

I liked the mat but it seemed to be for a lower pile carpet than a medium pile carpet. This makes it bow a bit from the weight of a chair and buckle. I would say this is for a low pile carpet.

The 36" x 48" clear chair mat is the perfect size for my rolling office chair at my desk. I recommend buying one to save your carpet and making it easier to roll with a chair or have a stationary chair.
