OK - Chair mat

The mat is ok for what I paid. I think a mat made of a hard material would have been better and I would have been willing to pay the extra expense if I had found one.

36" x 48'' Vinyl Chair Mat for Flat Pile Carpet with Lip

It's thin so chair "ruts" occurred within my first sitting of several hours during tax prep. (UGH!) If you move the chair around they dissipate somewhat. But since I'm able to roll out of them and maybe it'll save the carpet it's probably ok for the price. Higher price will get you a thicker mat but I didn't want to go that high.

The problem is we need to slide it under the desk and it's near impossible because of the prongs on the bottom. Know this is necessary but not fun to get under the desk.

Chair creates ruts in mat. Too thin and not recommended

Just isn't strong enough. I am going to have to put wood underneath it.
