Try the next size

The size is the real issue. The next size is too large (for me) and this size is a bit too short. It needs a larger rolling surface. When the chair rolls off the end it's very annoying to get it back on the mat. Probably too thin for business use but fine for home. If you can use the next size get it.

The dimensions are good for home use: desk and computer. The thickness could be increased to avoid slight sinking under the wheels when stationary even on a Berber. These indentations however do return to their original shape when the chair is moved. So far this is the best product I've found for this purpose. The beveled edges are particularly important to me for sliding on and off when a larger area for chair movement is occasionally needed. [...]

Product is recommended for 1/4" carpet. Mine isn't thick but has padding underneath. That is probably why product does not perform well.

It replaced a mat that had gotten hard and cracked. This one seems to be holding up well in our home office.
