The other mats in the store were much too large for the area I have. This one was the perfect size and so far it's great! I foresee no problems.

I was having problems with an old mat which had turned yellow and began to crack into pieces. The Economical Mat by Staples is the perfect replacement in my home computer room. It does just fine on the short pile rug. It doesn't creep or buckle and my chair glides across its surface very smoothly.

If I had regular office carpet the product would be fine. It's extremely thin and cheap like it's price.

Staples plush chairmat

This "plush" chairmat for carpets is definitely an improvement over the standard mat. But that is not saying much since the standard mat was awful & quickly broke down under the chair rollers. The difference is that this plush mat has its support pins spaced exactly 2.0 cm apart whereas the standard mat has its support pins spaced exactly 3.0 cm apart. This closer spacing does provide a great deal more support & hopefully this plush mat will last longer than did the standard one - which broke apart within 2 years of home use. Only time will tell.
