This mat says it's for medium pile carpet (3/4" thick) but the cleats on the back are just small fairly flat nubs and the mat does not stay in place. I'd only used the mat for about 2 weeks and my chair wheels already have made indentations in the mat (I only weigh 135 lbs) so now it's hard to roll the chair out of the pockets. The mat isn't very thick so the edges don't lay flat and I've tripped on them.

We had new carpet installed in my home office and I needed a good quality chair mat. This one is just what I was looking for. It was curled up when they delivered it. But within a day it was laying flat. It is heavy duty and great for longer pile carpet. I would highly recommend this mat.

Good for what it is...

Purchased this mat after I broke a wheel on my office chair by moving it on my carpeted floor. This mat allows for easier movement on the carpeted surface so I am not worried about breaking wheels anymore. However I notice that my wheels are leaving fairly deep imprints on the mat already - possibly due to the size of my person. I anticipate permanent damage soon. Mat is better suited to small individuals.

This product is adequate for our needs. However I was disappointed in the shipping method. These chair mats were shipped "loose" not in a corrugated box or tube. We had to wet-wipe them on both sides to get the dirt off.

The smaller is better!

I used one with nubs under it that was thicker and larger the first time. It did a fine job of flattening my rug and it was hard to move the placement. This time I went for the smaller size which tucks under the front of my desk & doesn't have nubs under it. It still doesn't move and doesn't flatten my rug. After a while it will crack just like the thicker one but it is alot cheaper so I can live with that!

Chair Mats

We bought two and both did well. We used one on tile floor and the other on painted concrete. Both held properly and were of an adequate size. (could have been 12 inches larger in length and width for our application) but are ok. The sales person was very helpful in explaining and locating product and helped with loading in my vehicle!!

Not so good if you are overweight

I keep planning to loose some weight but you know how it goes.....I plan to give this one to my hubby because of how thin it is the wheels of my chair make indentations on the mat and them this causes the chair not be move as easily as I would like it to. Guess I need to pay more for a thicker mat.
