I purchase all chair matts ink printers and towers from Staples. My last chair matt cracked in the center from where I sit so much at my office desk. It was the first one to crack on me. Once I figured out how to use my new printer I now enjoy it. My only problem with it is to delete the print that I just printed. So if I have to many showing in the system It ask me to save or delete. At that time I now can delete the previous page. The best thing I like about my printer is how easy it is to replace the ink. Pop one out and pop the new one in.
I purchased this same product about 2 years ago. I have medium carpet and use the desk chair over mat everyday. The chair Mat lasted about 2 years prior and I look for it to last the same amount of time this time. I received free shipping both times and the chair mat held up well in the shipping. What i really appreciate is the easy peel of the shipping label off the mat without leaving excess residue. I would not purchase the economy model below this one. Staples does offer more expensive models of chair mats but the price is good and it held up about what i would expect with my heavy use. If this model of chair mat is still sold when i need another chair mat I will probably purchase again.
Described as 8.5 mil bendable plastic -- they came rolled in a large box. I bought 2 in May so they didn't get cold while in transit - they need to be at room temperature to unroll without risking cracking the plastic. They are intended for hard surfaces (not carpet as it is too thin to stay unwarped over carpet and doesn't have spikes to stay in place) - - both sides are textured a bit to stay in place and provide a bit of resistance to wheeled chairs. The texture surface seem to hold the mat in place while rolling your chair. It's 3 feet wide and 4 feet long and intended for a closed in area -- if you roll your chair a distance from the sitting position you will need a larger mat.
Good value for a light use chair mat. We use this in a resident business center. Not an everyday use. Usually last for a couple of years with light use.
