This carpet chair mat was recommended by an in-store associate as being ideal for my particular low pile carpet. Within a few days my rolling chair wheels created four distinct depressions in the vinyl that have worsened over time. Thankfully these four depression’s are in the position when I am sitting at my desk with the chair rolled up to the desk. The associate promised me this very issue with not develop with such a high-quality mat. Thankfully these four depression’s are in the position when I am sitting at my desk with the chair rolled up to the desk. For the price and aggravation of having swapped my previous mat—-which did exactly the same thing—and this new mat I’m disappointed.

Hopefully is hold up under the chair - I'm about 110 lbs....however feel that is keeps sliding & does not stay as It was placed - guessthe teeth or whatever are not as secure/deep as they should be.

High Pile Carpet Chair Mat

I really like my new high pile carpet chair mat because I no longer sink down in any ruts which I had in my old mat. It was one that I bought at the store and did not even know that there was anything better. It lasted several years and I hope this one will last longer because it seems that it is of a better quality. My grand daughter noticed that I had a new one right away.

I bought a similar mat for my carpet (from Staples) and it turned out to be too flimsy. The chair rollers sank into the thin plastic mat. So I returned it and upgraded to this "heavier" mat (again from Staples) which should be good for my 1/2 to 3/4" pile carpet. Unfortunately this mat isn't much thicker than the lower model mat and the rollers still sink into the mat and the chair can't move out of the depressions in the mat! Basically it's totally useless!! I'm tired of returning things to Staples so I've just given up and will eat the cost of the mat and try somewhere else... I can not recommend this mat to anyone.

Its about 40% better than the up too 1/2" pile rug mat but I still sink into it. And I way 170 Lbs.

I bought this chair mat to replace an old one that had cracks in it. I would have preferred one in this size with a ramped edge like my old one but it turns out that there is no problem rolling off and on the edge of the mat. I like that the mat is clear and it blends in with the carpet. I would recommend this product.
