The description on this product should state for commercial grade carpet. I have low pile residential carpet and the mat slides a bit.

I read lots of reviews where the mats were not thick enough for their carpet so I'm glad I spent more for this thicker version. It's worked well and I only wish the front extension went just a touch farther I've also had a slight bit of rolling on occasion but I slid it out from the furniture it was pressed against and that resolved. Overall I'm very pleased and it's definitely saving the carpet from this chair as the wheels were a bit harsher than my old chair.
