I put it down the day I received it. In no time were there divots. I have to move the chair every so often so I'm not stuck in them. It is a great size for the home office but it should be thicker.

Having used this for almost a week I am still adjusting it. It tends to move and the more narrow end wants to curl up or not stay flat on the carpet. My chair does roll easily on its surface so that's a plus.

A 200lb weight on a 5-wheeled office chair is too much for this mat. It does protect the carpet from the deep wheel marks; however the chair wheels create depressions in the mat. Hindsight tells me I should have opted for the heavy pile carpet (I am currently working on ~3/8" pile carpet)

This replaced an old and thicker chair mat that developed holes. It fit neatly up to and under my desk and my chair rolls easily on it. I like that it's thinner and yet still provides the same smooth ride the older and thicker one did before it started to fall apart. I expect it will last many years as the old one did.
