The new mat appears to be of lower quality material than the same mat I bought a few years ago. Would not buy this one again.

This mat allows me to roll my office chair on top of my new cut pile carpet. It does tend to get "dimples" where the wheels sit for awhile but I can still roll around. Good price for what I got.

The mat is the right size except for thickness. Material is so thin that it deforms easily creating pockets that wheels of chair get hung up in.

What can you say about a may? It's good medium heavy height. It's flexible enough to get in to place. But still sturdy enough for 260 lbs of me plus chair. If it lasts 5-years like my last one I'll be very happy.
