This mat is just to supple and dimples with any chair pressure. This one might work for an industrial carpet firmness. I needed a more hard plastic mat for my carpet area. I just ordered the wrong mat for my needs. Staples was wonderful about the return and credit. I ordered a harder mat and should get that one in a couple of days.
