Wasted my Money

In spite of being designed for carpet it still "creeps" on the carpet and doesn't stay put. It is too soft and pliable so the chair doesn't roll well and I have a high-end chair. This product needs to be thicker sturdier to work on carpet.

Tends to crawl on low pile carpet

I purchased this chair mat because I just carpeted my office it was very inexpensive and it was the only one small enough to serve the purpose but not take up loads of room. It stays put very nicely and keeps my carpet from getting marred. It makes it easy to move my chair around since my office is very small and I usually just roll over to the fax or printer I enjoy shopping at staples for my office needs because the site is so easy the prices are reasonable I get free next day shipping and they have almost every thing I need.

Great fit no cracks

This mat fits perfectly in my L-shaped workspace but my chair tends to "sink in" to the carpet and make it kind of hard to roll around. I've had it for about a month now and it has not cracked or showed any signs of wear. Stays put very well.

It is perfectly fine. I bought 3 for our office. I may not have bought so many but the store manager was great and honored my coupon extending it to 3 instead of just 1! I love that kind of customer service!

Didn't Work for me

The flat pile chair mat does not work for me. The bottom of the mat has prongs which are too smooth to adequately grip the low pile office carpet by my desk. As s result the mat has a tendncy to easily slip and slide either under the desk or behind it. It seeps as though the plastic construction is study enough and the clear finish looks much better that the old one which eventually wore through but the problem of having to readjust the placement of the mat detracts significantly for ease of use. You should put a floor protector down once and be done with it.

thinner than I thought it would be

My last chair mat from Staples was twice as thick as this one. By itself the chair sinks into mat somewhat. Sitting on the chair (135#s) the chair sinks quite a bit and makes it hard for the chair to roll around. Only time will tell how long before this mat cracks. It seems the mats are getting thinner and thinner while the prices keep going up. My last much sturdier mat lasted only 3 years before starting to crack and crumble. I would estimate this mat to take much less time to achieve the same result.
