What a surprise

I have just recarpeted the office with a fairly low pile carpet and standard padding. Approx ½" deep overall. In order to protect the carpet from my office chair I purchased this chair mat. After unrolling it it took about 2 days to flatten out and gave off a lot of fumes. Overnight my 5 legged office chair makes 5 shallow dents in the mat. When I sit in the chair for a while the mat developes fairly deep dents that require effort to roll out of. I weigh 230#. I feel that a mat that is this expensive should not be this weak.

Its a low budget mat so it works but for what its intended however chair seems to get jammed a bit too often.

I just put in down Saturday and it already has very large indentions where the casters roll. I do not think that should happen that fast. Yes it was a cheaper one and I should have gotten the better one for a deeper pile for the carpet. I did not think our carpet was that thick but I guess it may be. I will certainly take a good look at the next one I buy and it will be the better one. Wish I could exchange it but I do not know if the store will take it back. I am not sure but I think I have my receipt.

it is nicely designed but just too thin. wheels from chair sink into the mat and it is not easy rolling around on it. should be thicker at the price and much more stable.
