This product is under my office chair (a high backed task chair)at my computer desk on laminate flooring. It stays put and allows for some control over chair movement (i.e. chair doesn't 'take off' or slide as it does on laminate floor.)

Chair mats are required in our lease. We have low mat carpet and chairs do no move easily on carpet. The Mat is a necessity.

Had a similar chair mat which was used for several years and it finally wore out. Needed a new replacement and bought this one. It works for me.

I have only had this chair mat for a week but so far it is living up to the claim that it will support the chair and not dent in. It arrived in a flat shipping container.
