The mat fits perfectly and the chair rolls nicely on it. The bump out section fit in the opening of my desk. The carpet I have it on is very low pile. I needed the particular shape and size offered but Staples carries an array of mats to fit every need.

It is a very sturdy product but very thin which makes me think if this can last more than a year? The previous one I had was almost 0.5" thick and lasted three years until it broke in multiple areas.
