The mat had good grip characteristics but was too flexible for the low pile textured carpet in my study. The office chair castor wheels sank in when the seat was occupied making it hard to roll the chair. I added my old smooth faced chair mat over the top and the combination worked well

Good quality product just the wrong one for my needs. I recently remodeled my office and put down very comfortable deep-pile carpeting. This mat was the right size for my needs but its spikes weren't long enough to dig in enough to hold it in place when my desk chair rolled over it. That's on me for not investigating more and finding something rated for "plush" carpeting.
