Much better price buying this mat online and having it shipped to the store for free where I picked it up. Looks and works great and you can see the beautiful hardwood floor too. Can't beat the online price. Great deal.
We use this to protect the wood floors in our office. It's next to another desk with one from [...] and what a difference! This one is a MUCH better quality- Slides a tiny bit (but not as much as the other)- but looks better (our other already looks worn where the chair wheels are) and all the around is a better value.
When the new composite floor started showing signs of wear from an office chair with casters this pad really fit the bill. It is the largest I could find and the price was excellent. [...]
So far this mat is doing great. It doesn't slip and my chair rolls smoothly. I do wish the piece that goes under the desk was a little larger since I do roll off the mat on the front end however that is only a very minor gripe. The last mat I had cracked very early on (it was purchased in-store folded down the middle). First it cracked several times down the middle seam then over the next year developed micro-cracks all over. So far this new mat is holding up well without a single crack (about 2 months in)!
I'm honestly appalled at the high cost of chair mats in general. That said this mat is honestly too thin for my use but I knew that to begin with and refused to spend more for a chair mat. It's a fine chair mat for what it is but used on a medium pile carpet like I have it's going to get noticeable dimples that make it a little hard to roll the chair. But since it's not meant for medium pile carpet I can't really hold that against the product. I can hold the general price of chair mats against the industry though. *shakes fist*
